Who we are
WebzCity, based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, UK, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services. Contact: support@webzcity.com.
What we collect

- Project details you send in your brief, such as your trade, plan and existing website.
- Account details for admin logins: email and password (stored securely).
- Support messages and emails you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and basic usage data.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To quote for, build and run your website — performance of a contract.
- To reply to enquiries and give support — legitimate interests.
- To keep our services secure and prevent fraud — legitimate interests.
- To improve our services — legitimate interests.
- To meet tax and accounting rules — legal obligation.
- To send marketing, only if you agree — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host and run our website and systems.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling our services, managing subscriptions, taking payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 2 years and customer records for as long as you're a customer plus 6 years for accounting purposes. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent. We'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data.
Cookies
We only use essential cookies and local storage needed for the site and admin login to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
